Seeking a Rheumatologist in Anchorage, AK

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Rheumatologist to work in a Level II Trauma Center serving as the tertiary referral center for people statewide. This unique opportunity offers a diverse patient population, a breathtaking geographical setting, and a cohesive medical team.

Responsibilities:

·       Manage outpatients in clinic (8-14 patients per day)

·       Handle adult inpatient consults

·       Perform joint injections and joint aspirations

·       Conduct bedside MSK ultrasound when available

·       Participate in six field clinics per year to other regions of Alaska

·       Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care

 

Compensation:

·       Salary range: Experienced – Base is $330k + $25k for call ($674k total) comp for additional call

·       New grad – $313k

·       Incentive: $50k per year

·       Sign on Bonus: $50,000

·       CME Allowance: $6,000

·       Relocation: $20,000

Schedule:

·       Mon- Fri: Four 10- hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts

·       No after hours call for clinic

·       Level II Trauma Center providing care to outpatients and inpatients

 

Qualifications & Requirements

·       Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology

·       Alaska medical license (or ability to obtain)

·       Experienced in managing both outpatient and inpatient cases

·       Skilled in performing joint injections, joint aspirations, and bedside MSK ultrasound

·       Culturally sensitive and adaptable to working with diverse populations

·       Willing to travel for field clinics in other regions of Alaska
