Mass General Brigham is seeking a full-time Trauma and Acute Care Surgery (TACS) Medical Director to lead and manage our Trauma and Acute Care Surgery service.

Mass General Brigham is seeking a full-time Trauma and Acute Care Surgery (TACS) Medical Director to lead and manage our Trauma and Acute Care Surgery service. This position is approximately 85% clinical and 15% administrative and requires expertise in emergency general surgery and trauma patient management. We are looking for a skilled and dedicated leader to oversee the ACS Level III Trauma Center while working closely with hospital leadership and a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care and education.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and provide direct patient care in trauma and emergency general surgery.
  • Perform emergency general surgery procedures, trauma resuscitations, and trauma-related surgeries.
  • Supervise and collaborate with a team of surgeons, APPs, and nursing staff.
  • Participate in trauma rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings, and case reviews.
  • Develop and manage physician work schedules and arrange per diem support as needed.
  • Lead the development and implementation of trauma and emergency general surgery education programs and oversee clinical policies.
  • Ensure compliance with ACS Level III Trauma Center accreditation standards.
