Del Sol Medical Center - East is seeking a dynamic and experienced assistant facility medical director (AFMD) to help guide its emergency medicine (EM) team in delivering exceptional care. This full-time role offers a unique blend of leadership and clinical practice at a state-of-the-art trauma center with exciting growth opportunities.

About Del Sol Medical Center - East

• Level II Trauma Center with an intermediate care (IC) designation
• Part of HCA Healthcare's robust network
• HCA Residency Program Association: internal medicine residents rotate through the emergency department (ED)
• Associated with freestanding emergency departments (FSEDs): Horizon and East
• Hospital beds: 379
• Located near University Medical Center, providing additional trauma support
• 34 emergency department beds in a well-designed layout to optimize patient flow
• Annual ED volume of 60,000 patients with 2.0 patients per hour and a 15% admission rate
• 49 hours of EM physician coverage and 20 hours of APC coverage daily
• Medium-to-high acuity levels
• Electronic medical record (EMR): MediTech
• Trauma services supported by a helipad for rapid transfers
