General/Total Joint Surgeon Opportunity in Salinas, CA with Kaiser Permanente

Leading the future of health care

Kaiser Permanente / The Permanente Medical Group

Looking for a BC/BE general orthopaedic surgeon with special interest in developing a total knee/total hip practice.  Proficiency in anterior total hip replacement is a plus. Must be comfortable with fracture care and management of general orthopaedic issues until your practice grows. Revision total joint experience is not necessary, as those patients can be referred to other Total Joint Fellowship trained specialists in our group as necessary. You will be joining our satellite orthopaedic group in Santa Cruz County with some participation in the Central Coast (Salinas and Marina).  This community is nestled between the majestic redwood forests and the beach, and is known for surfing, mountain bike riding, and hiking. OR is 1 day per week.  Mako robot is available. Currently, there is no need for ER call. However, candidate must be open to the idea of possibly taking general orthopaedic ER call at a local (level 3) community hospital in the future.  Hand and trauma cases can be referred to other appropriate partners in San Jose as needed. Our goal is to continue building a core group of orthopaedic providers as we expand our services both in Santa Cruz County and the Central Coast.

The Permanente Medical Group, Inc. is one of the largest medical groups in the nation with over 10,000 physicians, 21 medical centers, numerous clinics throughout Northern and Central California and an 80-year tradition of providing quality medical care.
