Day Hospitalist Physician in Knoxville, TN

We are looking to add a day hospitalist to our team at Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. This position offers a flexible 7-on/7-off block schedule working the 7a-7p shift with our skilled and collegial hospital medicine (HM) team! Enjoy excellent specialty support working in a patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to hospitalized patients
• Work closely with with consulting physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient management
• Develop and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatment plans
• Facilitate patient discharges, including medication reconciliation, discharge summaries and follow-up arrangements
• Participate in hand-offs and ensure thorough communication between day and night teams

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification or eligibility in internal medicine (IM) or family medicine (FM)
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage a wide range of complex conditions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound medical decisions
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care
