• Shared after-hours phone call coverage, supported by RN triage
• Existing patient panels (ages 0-21), averaging 24 patients/day

Levine Children’s Hospital is a nationally ranked hospital which has taken us to another level of service to care for the growing population of children in our region. Ranked as one of the top Children’s Hospitals by U.S. News and World Report in ten specialties for 2024-2025, it is the most comprehensive children’s hospital between Atlanta and Washington, DC, helping families stay closer to home.  There are 11 floors with 247patient beds, including a 24-bed PICU.

Atrium Health - Levine Children’s Hospital (LCH) is the largest children’s hospital between Atlanta and Washington DC. It serves high patient acuity as the flagship children’s hospital within the innovative Atrium Health and offers a full complement of pediatric subspecialists.  LCH has 4 pediatric hospitalist teams, a 20-bed PICU (including cardiac ICU), an 85-bed NICU, and an inpatient pediatric rehabilitation facility. LCH hosts a premier Pediatrics Residency Program, serving as a teaching hospital for students of the UNC School of Medicine, and offers excellent support for clinical research and quality improvement. LCH has been ranked among the Best Children’s Hospitals in the nation by US News & World Report in eight pediatric specialties for 2020-2021. 

Carolinas Medical Center along with LCH have earned Magnet designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. The Magnet program recognizes health-care organizations for their focus on improving patient care, safety and satisfaction.
