Medical Director, Neurosurgery
The Neurological Institute is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to serve as the Medical Director of the Department of Neurosurgery. This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of the nation’s leading healthcare institutions, fostering growth and innovation in the field of neurosurgery while ensuring the delivery of the highest quality patient care. As the Director of the Department of Neurosurgery, you will work collaboratively with a team of dedicated physicians, specialists, and support staff to advance clinical services, research, education, and the overall development of the department. You will oversee operations for the Neurosurgery department for our Cleveland Clinic Martin Health and Cleveland Clinic Indian River locations.
Qualifications:
• Medical Degree (MD, DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Neurosurgery.
• Significant leadership experience in a neurosurgery department or healthcare leadership position, with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing clinical, operational, and academic programs.
• Proven ability to lead a large, multidisciplinary team in a complex healthcare environment.
• Clinical expertise in neurosurgery, including a broad range of procedures and specialized treatments.
• Strong commitment to patient-centered care, quality improvement, and patient safety.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire staff, faculty, and patients.
• A track record of success in academic or clinical research, with a passion for advancing knowledge in the field.
Desired Qualifications:
• Fellowship training or specialization in a particular area of neurosurgery (e.g., spinal, cerebrovascular, trauma, pediatric, etc.) is a plus.
• Experience in building a neurosurgery program with significant clinical volume and quality outcomes.
• Established connections or experience in the Florida medical community and network.
• Active participation in national neurosurgical associations and societies.
