Hospital-employed group seeks additional Internal Medicine residency trained physicians to join a robust, rapidly growing practice as a Hospitalist. Southeast Health is a 420-bed regional referral center in Dothan, Alabama and it manages its own Hospitalist program. The current practice includes more than 30 full-time, board-certified Internal Medicine Hospitalist physicians. Daily, 12-14 physicians work the 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. shift and 2 physicians will each have an IM resident to provide care during the 7 p.m.– 7 a.m. shift. Daytime Hospitalists work a 7 on/7 off schedule and Nocturnists work 12 shifts per month with flexible, individualized scheduling.
PRACTICE HIGHLIGHTS:
- Provide coverage for unassigned patients who present to ED requiring inpatient care, care for transfers, and in hospital consults
- Admit and co-manage with intensivist support adult patients in critical care–no procedures required
- 24/7 pulm/critical care support for all CC admissions
- Manage patients in clinical decision unit
- 24 hour subspecialty support available for all specialties including presence of in house radiology physician 24/7
- No call required
