Emergency Department

  • ED Volume: 20,000 
  • ED Beds: 16-bed main ED; 3-bed Fast Track; 2-bed hall
    • 13 private rooms; 2 hall rooms
  • ED Admission Rate: 5%
  • EMR: Epic
  • No interventional Cath Lab
  • Stroke Center
  • Dedicated transport if needed
  • Specialties available (uses Maryview’s On-Call/In-House Panel):
    • Radiology (remote)
    • CT (24/7)
    • MRI (24/7)
    • Adult Hospitalists
    • Ultrasound (24/7)
    • Neurology (24/7 tele-neurology)
    • Ortho
    • Radiation Oncology
    • Anesthesiology (24/7)
    • General Surgery
    • Urology (NP for inpatient consults, surgery to transfer to MMC)
    • Psychiatry (24/7 telepsychiatry)

Hospitalist Services

  • Average Daily Encounters: 15-20
  • Staffing Model:
    • 12 hours of in-person physician coverage
    • 12 hours of night APP coverage with 12 hours of telemedicine physician support 
  • 1 physician in-house, 1 physician telemedicine/1 APP provider hospitalist team
  • APP will act as a dedicated night provider
