Hospitalist Faculty Position for Prevea Family Medicine Residency Program

The MCW-Prevea Green Bay Family Medicine Residency Program is searching for an experienced Family Medicine physician to lead our Inpatient Medicine Teaching Service at St. Vincent’s Hospital. This key role involves overseeing the development and implementation of the Inpatient Family Medicine Teaching Service while also contributing to the education and mentoring of residents. The Hospitalist Faculty physician will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality inpatient care and foster an environment that promotes both professional and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities

• MD or DO degree, board certified in Family Medicine.
• Fellowship in Hospital Medicine preferred.

• Lead the Family Medicine Inpatient Teaching Service at St. Vincent’s Hospital. 
• Provide direct hospitalist care for 22 weeks a year while serving as a teaching attending for family medicine residents. 

• Precept residents in clinic 3-4 half days a week when not in the hospital.
• Dedicate 50% of the role to administrative duties focused on the management of the inpatient teaching service. 
• Option to maintain your own small continuity panel of patients if desired.  
• Option to practice Family Medicine Obstetrics if desired.

• Serve as a core faculty member within the Family Medicine Residency Program. 

• Carry a panel of resident advisees and participate in their mentorship and professional development. 

• Evaluate learners biannually as part of the Core Curriculum Committee (CCC). 

• Collaborate with other faculty and staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience for residents, integrating both inpatient and outpatient components.
