Job Description

Opportunity for an experienced OB/GYN to join our Obstetric Hospitalist program at LDS Hospital, located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Our OB Hospitalists provide care for unassigned patients and coordinate follow-up care. They also render services to patients who deliver precipitously or have emergency obstetric conditions that require STAT obstetric care. In a 24-hour shift, the OB Hospitalist can expect to participate in 2-3 deliveries. On a limited basis, this position will include caring for unassigned GYN non-surgical and unstable patients in the Emergency Department.

  • LDS Hospital is home to a 12-bed labor & delivery unit, averaging just under 2,000 deliveries annually. Level II NICU and MFM clinic on site, we also have MFM & Neonatologist support available via telehealth 24/7. Anesthesiologist on site 24/7.

    This is a PRN, or as-needed, opportunity where shifts will vary each month dependent on department needs & your availability.
     

    Minimum Qualifications

    • B/C or B/E OB/GYN, with at least one year of obstetric practice experience beyond residency. 
      OR
      B/C Family Medicine with completion of an Obstetric Fellowship.
    • Formal training in electronic fetal monitoring interpretation.
    • Licensed, or ability to become licensed, to practice medicine in the State of Utah.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification.
