Part-time to Full-time Utilization Review Work Available (Work Remotely)

Work 10 to 40 hours a week as an Independent Contractor (1099) – Flexible Schedule!

Our reviewers review Prior Authorizations for treatment, DME requests, SNF admissions, Medications, etc. to see if they meet nationally accepted medical guidelines and/or healthcare plan guidelines. They provide their expertise, as an unbiased, external source, and in compliance with ERISA/DOL and/or state laws.  CURRENT CALIFORNIA STATE MEDICAL LICENSE IS REQUIRED. 

 

IS REVIEW WORK FOR ME?

  • Provide your knowledge and experience in a remote (at home) environment.
  • Reduce or eliminate your direct patient care activities.
  • Stay informed, specifically in your specialty field, allowing you to see how other like specialists’
  • Learn more about how to get your own Prior Authorizations approved?
  • Work from 10 to 40 hours a week. Please note, we are looking for someone to work on a consistent basis, 5 days a week (flexible hours – you choose), and can include weekend work.  Working only 1 or 2 days a week is not ideal for our needs.
  • Independent Contractor (1099) opportunity, with the flexibility to work when you want to.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • You will be covered under MRIoA’s Errors and Omissions policy (traditional Malpractice Insurance is not appliable for review work)
  • Work anywhere within the USA (per regulations patient care records cannot leave the US).
  • Non-employed Independent Contractor (1099)

 

COMPENSATION:

Reviewers are paid on a per-case basis, case rate will vary depending on the complexity of the case. Typically, proficient reviewers make in excess of $100 per hour. 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have excellent computer usage skills.

Must be willing and able to do Peer-to-Peer calls, during business hours.

When required, must utilize healthcare plan criteria as the determining factor in decisions.

Must be currently Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.

Must have unrestricted CALIFORNIA state licensure.
