Transplant Hepatologist

Job Summary:

The Transplant Center at New York Medical College-Westchester Medical Center is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Hepatologist with transplant expertise to join our transplant program. Qualified candidates will provide transplant services to patients with end stage liver disease, focusing on potential liver transplant recipients, pre transplant workup and evaluation, providing post-transplantation care, and managing immunosuppression. The candidate will participate in patient selection conferences, liver transplant clinic, and house staff teaching. Participation and productivity in research are expected.

Qualifications / Requirements:

The successful candidate will be board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and have completed a certified Hepatology Transplant Fellowship or have the experience necessary to qualify under the OPTN clinical experience pathway.

Located in a state-of-the-art facility, The Transplant Center sees over 10,000 patient visits and performs 65-70 liver transplants per year. Our team provides consultative services as well as transplant related care to patients throughout the Hudson Valley and beyond. As part of a vibrant and growing liver transplant program, you will be directly involved in all phases of transplant care and work closely with our transplant surgeons in a collaborative team atmosphere.
