Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy Physician - Assistant/Associate/Full Professor

The Division of Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplantation & Cellular Therapy (BMT/CT), University of Minnesota Medical School, is seeking an academic pediatric blood and marrow transplantation and cellular therapy physician. The Division invites applications for an academic track position, with a focus in clinical care and novel cell therapies for leukemias and solid tumors, at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor.

 

The ideal candidate will have extensive translational research experience and clinical expertise in treatment and research related to blood and marrow transplantation & cellular therapy for patients with leukemia and solid tumors, as well as independently obtained research funding. This position will help to further develop our BMT/CT Program’s basic/translational research programs to funnel new ideas from bench to bedside. This individual will also participate in the inpatient and outpatient clinical care of patients at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital.

 

Qualifications

Applicants must have the ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States.

• M.D. and Board Eligible or Certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology

• Extensive training and experience in blood and marrow transplantation and cellular therapy
• Demonstrate excellence in patient care
• Must have or be able to attain a medical license in the state of Minnesota
• Must be able to pass credentialing

The Blood and Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapy (BMT/CT) Program at the University of Minnesota has been at the forefront of advances since performing the world’s first successful BMT in 1968. Since then, our teams have performed more than 12,000 BMTs. Our Program continues development in translational immunology, BMT and cellular therapy, and expand its portfolio of novel clinical trials.

 

Pay and Benefits:

This role is dually employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota. Total salary is market competitive and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through M Physicians. The base salary range for the clinical effort of this position is $174,000 - $273,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications.? The additional salary from the University is dependent upon the academic effort of the person hired.
