Clinical Psychologist (Neuropsychologist)

As an outpatient provider, the incumbent provides neuropsychological and psychological evaluations, psychological services, and consults with peers, medical center staff, the polytrauma team, geriatric mental health team, and others as appropriate. He or she will carry out the full range of neuropsychological status evaluations assessment, and diagnosis using accepted procedures and test instruments. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Diagnose mental disorders, conduct psychological and neuropsychological assessments, treat mental disorders through a variety of modalities, provide adjunctive interventions for treatment of medical disorders, and may conduct research
• Independently provide specialized psychological services at all levels of complexity for patients with psychological difficulties, with service delivery to include intake evaluation, treatment planning, diagnostic assessments, psychotherapy and patient education
• Provides direct patient contact including neuropsychological assessment and treatment planning, individual psychotherapy/assessment sessions, and family/caregiver stress therapy sessions
• Provide neuropsychological status evaluation and participates as a consultant in outpatient and inpatient multidisciplinary diagnostic and treatment activities
• Consult with medical center staff on a wide variety of patient care issues as warranted
• Be available for involvement with training and/or clinical supervision as needed
• Provide education to patients, family members, and significant others as needed
• Provide supervision of trainees conducting direct clinical care, as appropriate, based on licensure
• Participate in peer review processes
• Timely completion of all clinical charting and documentation required by the Medical Center or healthcare system, as appropriate
• Attends regularly scheduled treatment team meetings and trainings to ensure efficiency and continuity of service delivery to a specialized client population
