About the Opportunity

• Team: Work alongside a 12-physician cardiology group (7 interventional, 2 electrophysiologists, 3 general/invasive cardiologists) and a collaborative surgical team.
• Facilities:
  • Four-story dedicated Heart & Stroke Tower
  • Two CVOR Suites and two hybrid ORs
  • Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System
  • Highly skilled ICU and nursing staff
• Case Volume:
  • 200-250 open-heart cases annually
  • 250 thoracic cases annually
• Call Schedule: Rotated between two surgeons, supported 24/7 by experienced APRNs and hospitalists.

Position Highlights

• Perform a full spectrum of cardiothoracic procedures, including CABG, valvular surgery, aortic surgery, and thoracic resections (including minimally invasive techniques).
• Majority of patients present with known cardiovascular disease, such as atherosclerotic coronary artery disease or valvular disorders.
• TAVR experience preferred but not required.
• Comfortable Monday–Friday schedule with excellent support and resources.

The opportunity is with the Heart Institute of East Texas, a large multispecialty cardiology group providing services at two hospitals local hospitals and two open heart programs.
