Position Overview:

We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon with fellowship training in orthopedic sports medicine to join our esteemed team. The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary group of fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons, primary care sports medicine physicians, athletic trainers, physical therapists, concussion specialists, and physician assistants. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive sports medicine care, including injury prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation
  • Participate in game coverage, training room consultations, and travel with affiliated athletic teams
  • Engage in community-based orthopedic care
  • Contribute to academic teaching and research initiatives in collaboration with the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Orthopedic Sports Medicine and Eligible for the CAQ in Orthopedic Sports Medicine
  • Fellowship training in Orthopedic Sports Medicine is required
  • Experience in caring for high-level athletic programs or professional teams is preferred
  • A commitment to excellence in patient care, education, and research

Facilities and Resources:

  • State-of-the-art facilities, including the Banner Sports Medicine High Performance Center in Scottsdale, offering performance evaluation, leading-edge treatments, and surgical procedures designed to minimize injuries and advance recovery
  • Access to a biomechanics lab utilizing motion-capture technology for real-time analysis of athletic performance across various sports
  • Collaboration with Arizona Athletics to provide enhanced sports medicine care models for student-athletes
