Venesco, LLC has a new opportunity for two Primary Care Physicians to provide services at the Milwaukee Veterans Administration Medical Center and Community Based Outlying Clinics. Hours:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. No weekends or holidays.
Duties include:
- Function as a full team member of the interdisciplinary team serving civilian and military patients at the VA Clinics.
- Provide history, physical examination, diagnosis, and initiation of medical treatment. Initiate and facilitate treatment and transfer in emergency situations.
- Follow-up office visits for existing medical problems with appropriate diagnostic tests and medication adjustments.
- Referral of patients as needed to appropriate VA specialists/services or other appropriate health care services.
- Document assessments and plan of care for each patient in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Act as a consultant in clinical practice.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure continuity of patient care.
- Collaborate and act as a patient advocate.
- Maintain knowledge of new and current clinical methods. Physician shall be available to accept patient results to be communicated via phone after hours by the lab.
- Evaluate and treat 10 patients each 8-hour shift.
- Licensure: Personnel assigned by the contractor to perform the services covered by this task order shall have a full and unrestricted license in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
- Education: Contractor’s assigned physicians shall have a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (OD) or Medical Doctor (MD) degree. Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in allopathic medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from an institution whose accreditation was in place for the year in which the course of study was completed.
- Foreign Medical Graduates: Must possess a certification with the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) and meets (or met) ECFMG eligibility requirements for the year the candidate graduated.
- Experience: Contractor’s assigned personnel shall have at least two (2) years’ experience in the past 3 years.
- Computer Literacy: Contractor’s assigned personnel must be computer literate as patient documentation is directly inputted in the patient’s electronic medical record. VA will provide training on the medical record system if required.
- Life Support Certification: Contractor’s assigned personnel shall be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).
