The Division of Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at Banner University Medical Center Phoenix invites applications for a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Urogynecologist and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgeon. This academic position offers the chance to build distinctive clinical programs, contribute to the Department's academic mission, and join a division poised for significant growth.

About the Division

Under the leadership of Dr. Olivia Cardenas-Trowers, a leader in gynecologic surgery and translational research, the Division is undergoing exciting clinical and academic growth.

  • Faculty includes experts supporting 36 residents and fellows in Maternal Fetal Medicine, Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, and Addiction Medicine.
  • Plans to establish a Urogynecology & Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery fellowship within 2–3 years.
  • Current facilities include Banner–University Medical Center Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Arcadia Clinic.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited school.
  • Eligible for Arizona State Medical Licensure.
  • Board Certification/Eligibility through American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology or Urology.
  • Academic rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative spirit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Urogynecologic and Gynecologic surgeries.
  • Manage female pelvic floor disorders.
  • Provide education and mentorship to residents and future fellows.
  • Promote interdisciplinary collaboration for clinical and research programs.
  • Build internal and external partnerships to support the Division’s growth.
  • Note: No obstetrical coverage required.
