Job Description

Indiana University Health Arnett Physicians has an employment opportunity for a Nocturnist at IU Health Arnett Hospital in the community of Lafayette, Indiana. Our teams culture is one of teamwork. We enjoy a collaborative working environment.  Our team members watch out for one another to prevent burnout, fatigue, and help with patient care. Our team is committed to quality, evidence-based patient care and also maintaining focus on the team member experience.

Employment Opportunity Details:

  • Work 17.3 weeks per calendar year 1 week on and 2 weeks off

  • Two schedules that alternate 7p-7a,4p-4a or 12p-12

  • APP oversight

  • Staffing model is two physicians Nocturnists during the night. One is providing admissions 4p-4a and the other is doing traditional cross cover work 7p-7a. We also have a 12p-10p admitter which is already staffed. The nocturnists also works with a 7p-7a nurse practitioner to help with the cross over and assists family medicine residents with admissions and cross cover.

  • Telehealth for two Critical Access Hospitals

  • MD/DO Indiana license/eligible

  • Consistent and consecutive employment/training history

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to provide high quality patient care
