POSITION SUMMARY:

Join a high-performing Emergency Medicine team offering immediate equity partnership and exceptional growth opportunities. Conway Emergency Group and Conway Medical Center are expanding their emergency care services to meet increasing patient demand and will launch a state-of-the-art 12-bed Free-Standing Emergency Department (FSED) in 2026. This is a unique opportunity for experienced Emergency Medicine APPs to contribute to a community-focused, innovative healthcare environment in one of the fastest-growing counties in the U.S.

SCHEDULE & COVERAGE:

  • Main ED: 12-hour shifts with 4 physicians/day and APPs covering 10-hour shifts.
  • FSED: Two 12-hour physician shifts/day and APP coverage as volume requires.
  • Rotations between the main ED and FSED are expected, though exclusive FSED coverage may be considered.

Shifts are structured to promote flexibility, ensuring a sustainable work-life balance.

FACILITIES & RESOURCES:

  • Main ED: 42 beds with dedicated high-acuity, moderate, and less-acute zones.
  • FSED (Opening 2026): 12 beds with full lab, X-ray, CT, and ultrasound capabilities.
  • Technology: Cerner EMR with Dragon Dictation for efficient charting.
  • Specialist Access: Closed ICU with intensivist support, surgicalist coverage, and a robust network of specialists.

LEVEL OF CARE & TRANSFERS:

  • Level III Trauma Center
  • Over 50,000 annual ER visits
  • Low Transfer Rate: ~2% | Admission Rate: ~25%.

CANDIDATE PARAMETERS:

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (EM).
  • Open to new residents, experienced physicians, and fellowship-trained candidates (e.g., ultrasound, EMS).
  • Teaching experience is not required. However, residents (family medicine/transition year) and medical students will rotate through the department.

This position is employed through Conway Emergency Group, which provides contracted emergency department services at Conway Medical Center. While the role is based at Conway Medical Center, the candidate will be employed directly by Conway Emergency Group.
