Position Description:
The Site Chief Hospitalist of the Sentara Medical Group (SMG) Division of Hospital Medicine (Chief Hospitalist) reports to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and provides leadership to the Hospitalist program in their facility. The focus of this position will be on the development of a cutting edge hospitalist practice and associated physician recruitment and retention. This position involves active participation in the development of long and short range plans, services, and strategies to achieve facility goals. Provision of clinical services will be required in one’s area of expertise.
Development of clinical protocols/pathways and order sets relevant to the practice of Hospital Medicine.
