Here at Piedmont Heart Institute, we are looking for a BC/BE Cardiac Emergency Medicine-Critical Care Physician (with significant cardiac experience) for our Piedmont Atlanta Hospital location. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality and compassionate care to patients.
Job Requirements:
In 2023 by volume, Piedmont Heart was 7th in the country for heart transplants and top 5 program for ECMO runs and LVAD implantations. In addition to supporting a 42-bed CVICU and 22-bed CCU, our cardiac intensivist group also runs a remote ECMO cannulation program. This program allows us to support hospitals in the greater Atlanta area by giving them access to expert ECMO services. Piedmont Atlanta Hospital’s Extracorporeal Life Support (ECLS) program is the first in the nation to earn ECLS Program Certification from DNV GL Healthcare.

What started in 1905 as a 10- bed sanatorium has grown into a 643-bed facility renowned for its high quality, patient-centered healthcare. Piedmont Atlanta is an acute-care community hospital offering all major medical, surgical and diagnostic services, including 24-hour emergency services, transplantation and comprehensive care.
The Marcus Tower at Piedmont Atlanta, which opened in August 2020, houses the Piedmont Heart Institute, the Marcus Heart and Vascular Center, the Samsky Invasive Cardiovascular Services Center, Piedmont Neurosciences, a Neuro and Cardiac ICUs, a Comprehensive Stroke Center, and the Shaheen Auditorium. A dedicated Transplant unit is planned as a future addition to the Tower. The 16-story tower features technologically-advanced operating rooms, cardiac and electrophysiology labs, critical and acute care facilities, and up to 408 beds.
