Job Summary
A urologist manages benign and malignant medical and surgical disorders of the genitourinary system and the adrenal glands. This specialist has comprehensive knowledge of and skills in endoscopic, percutaneous and open surgery of congenital and acquired conditions of the urinary and reproductive systems and their contiguous structures.
Job Duties
The Department of Urology at Geisinger, a national leader in quality, innovation, research and education, is seeking a Urologist to join our group at Geisinger in Danville, Pennsylvania- Geisinger Medical Center
The program is excited to welcome an additional Urologist to join over 20 general and subspecialty fellowship trained urologists providing urologic care system-wide. Urologic subspecialty interest can be supported in the context of a general urology position.
Position Highlights:
- State of the art technology including robotic access, high-powered lasers, ability to do transperitoneal/fusion biopsies, Robotic Aquablation and Rezum in the office setting
- Highly competitive salary model linked to value-based care instead of pure productivity measure
- Shared weekend call 1:9 with partial AP/ Resident support
- Geisinger has over 30 medical residency programs, including a fully accredited urology residency
- Support from a team of Advanced Practitioners for clinic and on call responsibilities
