Job Summary:
HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services is currently seeking a BE/BC Anesthesiologist to become the Facility Medical Director at our HCA Florida Lake City Hospital in Lake City, FL. Lake City is located approximately 60 miles from Jacksonville and 40 miles from Gainesville. This newly transitioned program has become part of the growing HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services hospital employed model.The Facility Medical Director will work collaboratively with the Operations team and Hospital Administration to carry out the Group’s mission of maintaining a mutually respectful work environment, leading by example and a sharing a genuine love of providing excellent patient care.
Ideal candidate will be highly skilled in communication, relationship building, and be able to represent the Anesthesia department as a true partner within the organization. Responsibilities include assuring the highest standards of healthcare delivery and outcomes, employee satisfaction and retention as well as monitoring efficiencies and quality metrics. Previous leadership experience required.
Qualified Candidates/Opportunity Highlights:
- Model consists of 5 General Anesthesiologists doing solo cases
- Anesthesia covers 3 ORs plus 2 NORAs (Endo and Cysto) with an annual surgical volume of 2400.
- Mix of cases including General, Ortho, GI/Endo, GYN, and some robotics
- No Trauma. No OB. No Cardiac.
- Must be Block proficient.
- Scheduled 40 hours weekly, 7a-3p with weekday beeper call 1:5. Post call day off.
- W-2, Employed position with HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services
- NEWLY increased compensation package with annual Leadership stipend

- Additional call shift pay if physician opts to pick-up extra
