Venesco, LLC has an excellent opportunity for a Pediatrician to provide services at Winn Army Community Hospital, Fort Stewart, GA. Fort Stewart is in Hinesville, just an hour southwest of the beautiful and charming city of Savannah, and not far from other coastal towns. This location offers a peaceful pace of life with great outdoor recreation.
Physician will provide services to dependents of active-duty service members at one of the largest army installations in the country. This is a great opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those who serve our country!
Hours: Pediatrician will work an 8-hour shift between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Physician will also participate in the on-call rotation.
Duties:
· Perform a full range of physician services in accordance with Pediatric privileges.
· Direct, perform, or assist in the instruction of other health care professionals within the scope of the clinical privileges or responsibilities.
· Examine, diagnose, treat or prescribe courses of treatment within the scope of training, experience, and privileges.
· Provide preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, and self-care skills through education and counseling.
· Order diagnostic tests as applicable as well as request consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated.
· Technically proficient in directing and teaching other medical staff, providing educational lectures and participating in the provision of in-service training to clinic staff members. Such direction and interaction will adhere to Government and professional clinical standards and accepted clinical protocols.
- Degree/Education: All providers must provide the required prime source verification of required medical degree – Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.), Internship, and Residency Program.
- Education: Graduate from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada. This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association; Association of American Medical Colleges; Liaison Committee on Medical Education; Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S.
- Residency: All providers shall have satisfactorily completed an accredited General Pediatrics residency training and has been awarded a diploma for satisfactory completion of said residency.
- Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support: All contract service providers must possess and maintain current course completion documentation for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through an American Heart Association approved training program. BLS shall be renewed prior to expiration. Online certification is not acceptable. Providers will also provide current certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Experience: Providers must have completed residency in General Pediatrics and practiced pediatrics as a resident or attending physician for no less than 12months in the past 36 months. New graduates from GME programs are eligible.
- Board Certification: The physicians must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Licensure/Registration: All licensed personnel: All personal services contract health care providers must maintain a current, active, valid and unrestricted license or authorizing document from any U.S. state, District of Columbia; or U.S. territory or jurisdiction to provide health care within the scope of practice for a specific health care discipline.
