Crozer Health Infectious Disease Associates has an exciting opportunity for a physician to join our organization at our Crozer Chester Medical Center. This is a wonderful opportunity for a physician to work in a diverse clinic setting and support a unique medical practice offering tertiary level care and become a well-respected clinician in our long-established health network. The physician will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and help preventing the transmission of illnesses caused by pathogens, such as viruses or bacteria; including but not limited to, HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Hep B & C, STIs and emerging infectious diseases.
Qualifications: The minimum of a doctoral degree from an accredited program, either Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, with current licensure and prescriptive authority in the State of Pennsylvania. Position: To provide excellent patient care by delivering the full range of infectious disease care and treatment, and ensuring patient follow up. Education/Experience: - D.O. or M.D., completion of internal medicine residency, followed by completion of an infectious disease fellowship, from an accredited institution. - Board Certified or Board Eligible Requirements: - Complete knowledge of infectious disease diagnoses and diseases, including the full range of treatment options within the specialty. - Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as exceptional interpersonal skills with patients, staff and other health care professionals. - Knowledge of and able to work with electronic medical record (EMR) systems. - Consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail. Duties and Responsibilities: - Deliver the highest standard of care for any patient admitted to, and/or provide consultative services within, the infectious disease service line. - Primary Focus: an expert in diagnosing, managing and treating acute and chronic diseases caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites and prions. - Managing treatment plans for patients, researching communicable diseases, tracking population data and community health statistics, communicating disease prevention strategies, and recommending public health initiatives based on research, as applicable. - Ensure all patient EMR charting is completely accurately, expediently and timely, to ensure ongoing (or follow-up) care for the patient(s) is seamless and uninterrupted. - Maintain personal contact with patients and their relatives with sensitivity to their needs for expedited evaluation with courtesy, dignity and privacy. - Complete any necessary communications related to consults, procedure results, pathology, etc. and provide any other specific instructions needed by the patient or their referring physician/ provider.
