Job Summary:
Methodist Healthcare, the largest provider of cardiovascular services in South Texas, is recruiting a cardiothoracic surgeon to join an established practice and growing program in San Antonio, Texas.Qualified Candidates:
- Board certified or board eligible
- Eligible for an unrestricted medical licensure in Texas required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience preferred, candidates with less experience will be considered and encouraged to apply
- Experience in routine and complex coronary work, valve repair/replacement and transcatheter valve procedures
- Experience and comfort level with aortic disease, to include open and endovascular aortic procedures
- Experience in routine thoracic and minimally invasive lung surgery
- Knowledge and experience with advanced technologies to reduce the invasiveness of thoracic and cardiovascular procedures
- Superb communication skills, a track record of leadership, and a passion for program development and collaboration
Position Details & Incentive/Benefits Package:
- Ability to primarily focus practice at one of our Methodist Healthcare hospitals
- Call required, expected rotation: 1:5 weekend call; 1:7 weekday call
- Supports 3 cardiology practices with over 150 physicians
