Baystate Medical Center, home to Baystate Health, a nonprofit integrated health care system and the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate, is seeking a Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist join the Department of Psychiatry at Baystate Medical center in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Consult-Liaison Responsibilities:
• Provide expert consultative services to our general Medical-Surgical floors, Emergency Department, and Medical, Surgical, and Cardiac Intensive Care Units. We also provide psychiatric evaluations for advanced cardiac therapies, including LVAD and cardiac transplant evaluations, in addition to renal transplant evaluations. We also support our Addiction Consultation Service with evaluations related to a myriad of substance use disorders.
• The CL team includes a total of 9 Psychiatrist specializing Emergency Psychiatry, Addiction, General Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Our division of Consultation–Liaison Psychiatry has robust representation at the Academy of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry annual meeting, in both presentations and committee service, and encourage Academy participation and service.
