Henry Ford St. John Hospital is seeking a Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Physician to join its Level III-B NICU. This is a full-time position offering a collaborative and dynamic environment.
NICU Highlights
- Level III-B NICU (AAP classification)
- Annual Admissions: 400–500 infants, with ~10% transfers
- Very Low Birth Weight: ~25% of admissions
- Inpatient Census: Average of 30 patients (range: 22–45)
- Surgical Capabilities:
- Includes PDA ligation
- Excludes CHD and ECMO surgeries
- Multidisciplinary Team:
- Staffed by Neonatologists, Pediatric Residents, and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners
Position Overview
- Provide Level II care at affiliated hospitals
- Clinical Duties: Weekdays, weekends, and on-call rotations
- Rotational assignments to different acuity services throughout the year
Qualifications
- MD/DO, Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
- Eligible for medical licensure in Michigan
- Experience required with:
- iNO (Inhaled Nitric Oxide)
- Total Body Cooling
- HFOV (High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation)
