Administrative Fellowship Program - Accepting Applications for 2025 Academic Year - Fort Worth, TX

IES is accepting applications for our Emergency Medicine Administrative Fellowship Program.

Location: JPS Health Network - Fort Worth, Texas (Level 1 trauma center / County Hospital)

The fellowship program is a 2-year immersive program that provides hands-on involvement with Emergency Department and Hospital Leadership with optional concurrent enrollment in a Masters' program (MBA,MMM, MHA, MPH).

Administrative Leadership of Hospitals and Emergency Departments, in particular, is a critical area of
expertise and requires understanding the complexities that comprise the dynamic. This program is
designed to facilitate the Fellow’s education, experience, and understanding of this complex system.
By giving them the tools and resources to be actively involved yet still under the mentorship of
Physician Leaders, the learning curve for the development of a successful Physician Leader is greatly
reduced.

EDUCATIONAL COMPONENTS
Critical areas will be addressed such as credentialing, risk management, quality, billing and coding,
budgetary responsibilities, accreditation requirements and management of criteria adherence, conflict
resolution, operational flow processes, and contract negotiations. Additional areas will be addressed
to provide for the successful and elective development of the physician leader.

CONFERENCE/TRAINING COURSES APPLICABLE TO THE PROGRAM
ACEP Leadership and Advocacy and ACEP's ED Director's Academy

Criteria: Must have completed an ACGME approved emergency medicine residency program

To apply, please send your CV, letter of interest along with 2 letters of recommendation from your program leadership

About Us

The program at JPS was established in 2011 as a fully accredited three-year program with 15 residents per class. JPS is recognized as the only Level 1 Trauma Center for Tarrant County and a comprehensive level 1 stroke center. Seeing over 130,000 patient visits annually, the county hospital population provides incredible learning opportunities in volume and pathology. In addition, the department supports ultrasound, administration, street medicine, and education fellowships.
