Emergency Medicine Physician U.S. Army Medical Team SignOn Bonus $400K

As an Emergency Physician, you’ll examine, diagnose, and treat Soldiers and their families in critical times of need. You’ll lead medical units, perform potentially life-saving medical care, and start your medical career as an Officer in the distinguished U.S. Army healthcare community. You’ll also research the latest advancements in medicine and receive advanced training opportunities.

Active Duty (Full-Time)

  • Loan Repayment: Receive $120,000 in student loan repayment in $40,000 annual payments to qualifying federal student loans paid directly to the lending institution through the Active Duty Health Professions Loan Repayment Program (ADHPLRP).
  • Sign-on Bonus: $400,000 signing (accession) bonus plus $49,000 incentive pay and Board Certification Pay $8,000 paid annually.
  • Location: Over 40 locations stateside and several more overseas, including Hawaii, Alaska, Italy, Germany, and Korea.
  • Time Off: 30 days paid vacation annually plus over 20 days for federal holidays and "Days of no Scheduled Activities."

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy; foreign graduates may apply if they have a permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates.
  • Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico.
  • Eligibility for Board Certification.
  • U.S. citizenship.
