Cheyenne Regional Medical Center (CRMC), an independent, county-owned community hospital, is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our robust cardiac and pulmonary team!

Cheyenne Regional Medical Center was founded in 1867 as a tent hospital by the Union Pacific Railroad to treat workers injured while building the transcontinental railroad. Today, we are the largest hospital in the state of Wyoming, employing over 2,000 people, and treating over 350,000+ patients from southeastern Wyoming, western Nebraska, and northern Colorado. Cheyenne is the capital of Wyoming  and the site of F.E. Warren Air Force Base. It is called the "Magic City of the Plains." It's the state's oldest and largest city. Collins, CO and 90 minutes north of Denver, CO, Cheyenne sits as the northern anchor city of the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains for great escapes to ski resorts, such as the Medicine Bow National Forest and in the Colorado Rockies.    

  Attributes of the position include:

  • Perform cardiothoracic surgeries, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve repair/replacement, segmentectomies, lobectomies, VATS, and other cardiac and thoracic procedures. We are experiencing growth in our thoracic program!
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including cardiologists, anesthesiologists, critical care specialists, pulmonologists, and nursing staff.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to all hospital policies and regulations
  • An ideal candidate would also be willing to participate in vascular surgery call.
