Geriatrician at Trinity Homes | Minot, ND

Trinity Homes is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Gerontologist to join our esteemed Nursing Home and skilled nursing facility team in North Dakota. We are committed to providing exceptional care and services to our aging population, and we are looking for a specialist who shares our passion for improving the quality of life for all patient. An employee of Trinity Health, the new candidate is supported by an extensive network of providers within the Trinity Health organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serves as Medical Director for Trinity Homes, an 161 skilled bed nursing home facility in Minot, North Dakota.
  • Serves as primary care provider for Trinity Homes patients to conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluate the health needs of our patients
  • Works collaboratively with Nurse Practitioner colleague to develop and implement personalized care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Provide guidance and education to patients and their families regarding aging-related health issues
  • Works collaboratively with Trinity Hospital to facilitate smooth hospital discharges into the Trinity Homes facility
  • Manages skilled nursing bed patients within the facility.
  • Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in geriatric medicine to ensure quality care.
  • Participate in community outreach and educational programs to promote healthy aging.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of geriatric services at Trinity Health.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Geriatrics or related field.
  • Valid medical license to practice in North Dakota.
  • Proven experience in geriatric patient care
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to work with the elderly population.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
