The VA Greater Los Angeles Health Care System is actively seeking an experienced and passionate leader to take on the role of Chief of Emergency Medicine. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to lead the Emergency Medicine Service by providing strategic direction and management for our emergency department operations. You will collaborate closely with executive and medical staff to guarantee the delivery of exceptional emergency care while coordinating with diagnostic and therapeutic departments to effectively address the urgent care needs of our Veterans.
As Chief, you will play a vital role in key responsibilities such as budgeting, strategic planning, community needs assessments, disaster preparedness, and building strong relationships with Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Additionally, you will engage with academic affiliates like UCLA to drive educational and research initiatives, paving the way for the establishment of a future emergency medicine residency program.
This position reports directly to the Chief of Staff and emphasizes academic collaboration, aspiring to launch a residency program for emergency medicine. Competitive Salary Range: $280,000-$400,000, Final Salary determination within this range.
