The Department of Psychiatry of Tufts Medicine is seeking an Addiction Psychiatrist.

Position Overview: Addiction Psychiatrist

  • Location: Tufts Medical Center, Downtown Boston
  • Primary Responsibilities:
    • Inpatient Care: Addiction Consultation-Liaison (CL) with a multidisciplinary team (including resident physicians and social workers) to manage acute withdrawal syndromes and substance use disorder cases in hospitalized patients.
    • Outpatient Care: Support expansion of Tufts’ Ambulatory Addiction services, collaborate with other departments, and provide long-term care for complex, dually-diagnosed patients.
  • Academic Appointment: Faculty position with Tufts University School of Medicine based on experience and academic contributions.

Requirements:

  • Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Training: Completion of ACGME- or AOA-accredited Adult Psychiatry Residency; Board Certified/Board Eligible in Adult Psychiatry.
  • Licensure: Eligible for a Massachusetts medical license.
  • Preferred: Fellowship training and/or Board Certification in Addiction Psychiatry.
