Corewell Health is seeking hematology/oncology candidates to join a well-established Hematology/Oncology Clinic located inside Corewell Health Hospital Troy, one of the major hospitals in Southeastern Michigan region.
Currently the practice includes 2 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers. Patients have access to clinical trials and are evaluated at lung, breast, GI, GU, head and neck, Molecular and hematology tumor boards. The physician will be able to participate in teaching activities with fellows, residents and medical students. The program is well supported by Wilson cancer center with resources like nurse navigators, schedulers, Survivorship and other support facilities.
The group works closely with radiation oncologists, primary care physicians and surgeons. The radiation oncology department is equipped with the latest technology including direct access to proton therapy. Social work, nutritional, and genetic counseling services are available on site.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing medical oncology, malignant and benign hematology, however, focus on GI and GU preferred, CAR T Cellular Therapy experience recommended or preferred. Weekend call is rotated within the group 1 in 4. One to three years of experience is preferred; however new graduates are welcome.
