Job Summary:

Consultation Liaison Psychiatrists at an Allina hospital provide psychiatric care for individuals experiencing complex mental health care needs during their medical admission. The team is closely aligned with the Mental Health & Addiction Clinic Service Line across the Allina Health system.

Strong candidates will have an interest in aligning treatment medically and psychiatrically with complex patients, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team, and connecting across levels of care.

Job Description:

• Reviews patient’s medical history while collecting, prioritizing, and synthesizing comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
• Evaluates, interprets, and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care.
• Provides psychiatric services to a diverse patient population.
• Develops behaviorally-focused, outcomes-based treatment plans of care that address mental health, functional impairment, and co-occurring addictive or medical disorders.
• Works collaboratively with interdisciplinary team.

Job Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicine required and
• Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accredited Residency training program in Psychiatry or foreign equivalency training required
• Licensed Physician - MN Board of Medical Practice required and psychiatric board certification within 2 years of hire upon hire and
• ACLS-BLS Tier 3 - Multisource required upon hire and
• Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate upon hire required and
• Prescription Monitoring Program upon hire required and
• National Provider Identifier upon hire required

Allina Health has a robust Mental Health and Addiction Service Line offering the full continuum of care including integration, specialty outpatient clinics, addiction and co-occurring services, partial hospitalization and day treatment, and inpatient care. It is led by both psychiatry and psychology clinical leadership, in partnership with operations to advance mental health care for patients across Allina Health.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $314,000 to $339,000 per year

The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
