Job Summary:
Congenital Heart Surgeon-Clinical Associate:
Medical City Healthcare is seeking a congenital heart surgeon to join their Congenital Heart Center at Medical City Children’s Hospital in Dallas, TX.
Qualified Candidates:
- Board certification in cardiothoracic surgery and subspecialty certification/eligibility in congenital heart surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery (ABTS)
- Must be eligible for Texas medical license
Duties/Experience:
- Preoperative/postoperative evaluation of cardiac intensive care/stepdown unit patients
- Active participation with the intraoperative/technical aspects of complex surgical repairs with two experienced surgeons, including hybrid procedures, ECMO procedures and ACHD cases
- Participation in weekly Congenital Heart Center Surgical/Cath, ACHD, M&M conferences
- Involvement in clinical research projects and STS database efforts

- Two experienced congenital heart surgeons with neonates/infants comprising 70% of volume
- The Medical City Children’s Maternal Fetal Institute (MFI) is the only center in North Texas providing the full spectrum of both fetal and neonatal surgical and non-surgical interventions
- Medical City Dallas the only hospital in North Texas with both a full-service children's hospital and obstetric hospital within the same facility
