Goryeb Children’s Hospital at Morristown Medical Center, part of Atlantic Health System, is seeking a full-time, board-certified/board-eligible Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist to join its Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Department. As the original Valerie Fund Children’s Center in New Jersey, the hospital is dedicated to providing high-quality care close to home for pediatric patients across Northern New Jersey. A full member of the Children’s Oncology Group, the center manages approximately 40 new oncology patients, and 600 new outpatient hematology consults annually. The physician will handle both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities on a rotating basis and must be comfortable with lumbar punctures as well as bone marrow aspiration and biopsy.
The ideal candidate will be board-certified in pediatrics, fellowship-trained, and board-certified in pediatric hematology/oncology, with a strong commitment to patient- and family-centered care. Goryeb Children’s Hospital hosts a 38-physician pediatric residency program and serves as a branch campus of Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, offering ample teaching and research opportunities. Quality improvement and clinical research, especially in collaboration with residents, are integral to the role.
