Indiana University School of Medicine Division of Abdominal Transplantation and Indiana University Health Physicians are actively recruiting a full-time abdominal transplant surgeon with focus on liver and intestine transplant to join the faculty at the assistant, associate, or professor level. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with a collaborative group of surgeons and APPs providing exceptional surgical care within the Indianapolis area.
The main objective of this recruitment will be to support a well-established abdominal transplant surgery division. IU Health top 10 rankings include: 3rd in pancreas transplant volume, 5th in intestine transplant volume, and 5th in liver transplant volume. One of a combination of following skills are desirable: living donor liver transplantation, minimally invasive donor hepatectomy, liver perfusion, normothermic regional perfusion (NRP), or robotic surgery.
Clinical duties will include transplant surgeries, procurements and other related procedures. In addition, clinical teaching is the mainstay of educational duties with opportunities to interact with medical students, surgical residents, and fellows in the office, inpatient, and OR settings. This role is also be expected to participate in research/scholarship activities supporting the Division and their own professional growth.
