We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Physician to provide and manage direct patient care for a specified population in Chatham, VA. The role includes conducting physical examinations, evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments. You'll play a critical part in our team, ensuring quality healthcare delivery while maintaining the highest standards of patient confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including physical exams and treatments.
- Document patient information, including medical history, examination findings, and medications, in the electronic medical record (EHR).
- Issue medical orders, including prescriptions, medication administration, and referrals.
- Review test results and communicate them to patients per policy.
- Educate patients on disease management and prevention.
- Ensure chart documentation meets insurance and reimbursement guidelines.
- Participate in the on-call schedule.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Medical Administrative Duties:
- Collaborate with clinical staff to develop and follow clinical protocols.
- Review mid-level provider records.
- Adhere to agency policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Participate in health promotion, education, and prevention programs.
- Build and maintain relationships with clinicians and providers in the community.
- Maintain required licensure and certifications, including continuing medical education (CME).
- Attend staff and provider meetings.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to observe, assess, and record patient symptoms and progress.
- Strong knowledge of legal and ethical standards for medical care.
- Proficient in prescribing medications and educating patients on their usage.
- Familiarity with local medical diagnostic and patient care services.
- Understanding of accreditation and certification requirements.
- Knowledge of current practices in medical evaluation and treatment.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Skilled in developing and presenting educational programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with computer software, including Microsoft Office, EClinical Works, and Google.
