Join a groundbreaking initiative to combat the opioid crisis in Milwaukee!

The Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a passionate leader to direct our Addiction Medicine Fellowship and serve as core faculty in the Southside Family Medicine Residency Program. As Fellowship Director, you’ll guide the next generation of addiction medicine clinicians, addressing critical gaps in care through innovative, low-barrier approaches to treating opioid use disorder.

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Lead the Addiction Medicine Fellowship, shaping a curriculum that prioritizes equitable care for Milwaukee’s most vulnerable populations.
  • Deliver full-scope addiction medicine services at Forest Home Health Center and supervise inpatient consultations at Froedtert Hospital.
  • Partner with community organizations to extend addiction care beyond traditional healthcare settings, tackling social determinants of health head-on.
  • Mentor and teach fellows, residents, and medical students, ensuring they’re equipped with the clinical and behavioral health skills needed for addiction medicine.
  • Drive scholarly activity, research, and quality improvement efforts that address the opioid crisis.

 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • MD/DO, Board Certified/Board Eligible in Addiction Medicine, with leadership experience and a commitment to improving health equity.
  • Experience in curriculum development and working with underserved populations.
  • Strong clinical skills in addiction and family medicine, and the ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
