Newport Hospital, a hospital of The Brown University Health System and affiliated partner of the Brown Health Medical Group, has an exciting opportunity for a fellowship trained child & adolescent psychiatrist with an interest in working with adolescents to serve as the Unit Chief in our new adolescent inpatient unit. This is the chance to join a nationally recognized, world-class Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University consisting of 51 child & adolescent psychiatrists.

About the job:

  • Treat up to 8 patients per day in our Inpatient Unit
  • Option for additional outpatient work if desired
  • Dyadic Leader of an interdisciplinary team of psychologists, psychiatric nurses, mental health workers, and social workers
  • Join the largest continuum care program in the country that includes inpatient, partial, residential, in-home and outpatient services
  • Academic appointment to Brown University
  • Call from home <8 weeknights/year
  • 3-4 weekends per year inpatient rounding
  • J1 & H1B visa friendly
