Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is the driving force behind Trinity Health of New England - the region’s largest nonprofit health system. From Springfield, Massachusetts down through Connecticut, our inspired care team of more than 740 providers working together is united by a shared commitment to help patients achieve optimal health. Johnson Memorial Hospital is an 88-bed general medical and surgical hospital in Stafford Springs, Connecticut. Part of Trinity Health Of New England, the region's largest health system, and nestled in northern Connecticut, Johnson Memorial Hospital (JMH) is a fully integrated hospital system. Currently the largest employer in the region, it employs around 1,100 staff members from its surrounding communities.

JMH offers a comprehensive array of inpatient and outpatient services, including emergency and intensive coronary care, as well as medical, mental health, surgical, OB/GYN, rehabilitation, pediatric and oncology services. In fact, in 2015, the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons recognized Johnson Memorial Cancer Center with its Outstanding Achievement Award for the high quality of its patient-centered care. Johnson Memorial Hospital is one of only 27 cancer centers in the country to earn this distinction. Its emergency department was recently upgraded, addressing any form of acute care needs while also coordinating with level 1 and level 2 tertiary care centers to provide the best quality of care to the patients it serves.

Trinity Health Of New England is just beginning its story. Formed in 2015, the regional ministry's roots date back more than 100 years. The region’s largest and most comprehensive not-for-profit Catholic health system is a strategic partnership that includes Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center and Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut; Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford Springs, Connecticut; Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, Connecticut; and Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Stafford Springs, Connecticut is a charming New England mill town of some 12,000 residents, surrounded by eight rural villages. Outdoor activities abound, with many tennis courts, baseball and soccer fields, and swim clubs. Stafford Motor Speedway is a popular destination that draws thousands of spectators every year. Staffordville Lake and nearby Crystal Lake are also popular family-friendly attractions. Reasonably priced homes are in close proximity to three elementary schools, one middle school and a high school, as well as Saint Edward School, a parochial K-8 school. Area attractions include a Rusty Wallace Racing Experience and 15 state and local parks that offer canoeing, horseback riding, hiking, cross-country skiing and even kiteboarding.
