ABOUT THE FACILITY

For more than 79 years, Nazareth Hospital has provided compassionate, high-quality care to residents of Northeast Pennsylvania. Nazareth Hospital offers a variety of services to the community, including emergency care, cardiology, oncology as an affiliate of Jefferson’s Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, specialized geriatric care, orthopedics, and wound care, among others.

Founded by the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth in 1940, Nazareth’s mission is to serve anyone who requires medical care regardless of religion, race, color, creed or economic status. Nazareth Hospital is consistently recognized by leading healthcare accreditors and insurers for the quality of care provided to patients.

In 2018 the hospital had 7,768 admissions, 49,184 visits to the Emergency Department, and 102,756 outpatient visits. The hospital has 203 licensed acute care beds, and 28 skilled nursing beds.

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic comprises Mercy Health System (Southeastern Pennsylvania), Saint Francis Healthcare (Wilmington, DE), St. Mary Medical Center (Langhorne, Pa.), and their associated home health and LIFE programs, aligned joint ventures, sub-corporations, programs and services.

Formed in October 2018, the Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic region empowers the three Trinity Health Regional Health Ministries to be one unified, regional system with five hospitals, continuing care services and support services, operating from a position of strength across the many diverse neighborhoods we serve. Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic will serve together in the spirit of the Gospel as a compassionate and transforming healing presence.
