St. Peter’s Health Partners, the region’s largest private-sector employer, with more than 12,500 employees, has more than 125 locations across seven counties. The system has an annual budget of nearly $1.1 billion. St. Peter’s Health Partners was created on October 1, 2011 by the merger of Northeast Health, St. Peter’s Health Care Services, and Seton Health. The merger created the region’s largest and most comprehensive not-for-profit network of high-quality and advanced medical care, primary care, rehabilitation, and senior services.

These state-of-the-art services and programs are provided through Albany Memorial and St. Peter’s Hospitals in Albany, NY; Samaritan and St. Mary’s Hospitals in Troy, NY; Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital in Schenectady, NY; and The Eddy system of continuing care and The Community Hospice.

St. Peter's Hospital is the largest Catholic acute care community hospital in northeastern New York state. Located in Albany, New York, the hospital was founded in 1869 by the Religious Sisters of Mercy. A voluntary, not-for-profit community tertiary hospital, St. Peter’s provides 442 beds and has more than 900 staff physicians and nearly 6,000 employees.

The hospital offers a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services and diverse outreach programs in the areas of medicine, surgery, ambulatory care, women’s and children services, neonatal intensive care, rehabilitation, outpatient medical imaging, and care for the elderly.

The facilities at St. Peter’s Hospital are among the nation’s most advanced clinical
environments for care of patients with complex heart and vascular disease. St. Peter’s Hospital is the only hospital in New York state and the northeastern United States to earn designation from an independent ratings agency as a Top 100 Cardiovascular Hospital for 10 years. The hospital’s Hybrid Operating Room, a high-tech catheterization lab within a sterile operating environment, is only one of just a handful of such installations worldwide. The Cardiac & Vascular Center at St. Peter’s Hospital has also been named a Blue Distinction Center for Cardiac Care because of its consistent commitment to quality care, resulting in better overall outcomes for cardiac patients.
