The APCs will function as independent healthcare providers who, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to in patients with acute or chronic medical conditions. The APCs will be responsible for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, health education, care coordination in a hospital-based setting. The APCs will demonstrate an advanced level of medical clinical knowledge and will communicate effective with physicians, nurses and other support staff.
Candidates must have acute care certification or equivalent experience. The APC will need to initiate vents, place central lines, ACLS, BLS certified and be comfortable running codes.
