The AHWFB Rheumatology Department is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dedicated outpatient team.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations
  • Use medical decision-making skills for patient care plans
  • Collaborate with the medical team for effective care
  • Order and interpret lab studies and diagnostic procedures
  • Perform procedural skills per guidelines
  • Participate in research projects
  • Precept students and medical learners
  • Uphold AHWFB missions, values, and cultural commitments

Requirements:

Physician Assistant (PA):

  • Accredited PA Program graduate; Master's preferred
  • Current NC Medical Board License, NCCPA Certified
  • Minimum of 3 years of Rheumatology experience

Nurse Practitioner (NP):

  • Accredited NP Master’s Program graduate, Master’s or higher required
  • Current NC Board of Nursing RN and NP license
  • Board certified as FNP by AANP or ANCC
  • Minimum of 3 years of Rheumatology experience
