Job Description

Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH seeks a Physician Assistant to support the Section of Thoracic Surgery in the inpatient, operating room, and outpatient settings. The selected candidate will join a team of five associate practice providers and four physicians to assist in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of patients with conditions and diseases in the chest, from the neck to just below the diaphragm.
Position Highlights:
  • First assist in the OR for all thoracic surgery procedures, including open, VATS, and robotic surgery.
  • Provide patient care and education within the inpatient service and outpatient clinic.
  • Be a part of a collaborative team utilizing the latest technologies and working at the forefront of thoracic surgical treatment and care. Robotic experience is beneficial, though training and mentorship are available.
  • Ample opportunities to be involved in research as well as clinical teaching of our General Surgery Residents and trainees in our PA Residency Program. A faculty appointment through the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth will be requested.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited PA academic program
  • National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification
  • Eligible for PA licensure in the state of NH
  • Eligible for Federal DEA Registration
